The class originally scheduled for Tues Nov. 4 has been changed to Tues Nov. 11, so as not to be in conflict with elections.

My friend Lorene who is an Essential Oils Expert forwarded this letter to me and I thought I’d share it with you. It’s a wonderful experience that shows us that essential oils aren’t just for people; animals need them too.

My sons Rat terrier had the nail completely broke off to the pad I initially packed it in dry tea to stop the bleeding (works great) anyway as dogs do his continues licking was making it raw and the toe next to it. I took a piece of gauze with a couple drops lavender and a couple drops of tea tree (love this oil for healing). I placed it between the pads and wrapped the rest of the foot so he would leave it alone. He had it on for about 6 hours when I decided to give him a break from hopping around the house.

When I pulled it off I was shocked! I was totally unaware that the toe with the broken nail was infected the oils had pulled it out of the toe and onto the gauze. I have since cleaned once between the toes with a q-tip of tea tree and his foot is almost completely healed with not swelling at all.”  T.

Sleep Baby Sleep

Posted In: Essential Oils by skatoa

A friend of mine mentioned to me last week that she rubbed Lavender and Quiescent on her husband’s feet and he, who is usually restless and has a hard time sleeping, slept like a baby. I’ve used Quiescent every night for quite some time now, but have recently because of her experience, added Lavender as well and have had wonderful results. I’ve been sleeping soundly through the night and waking up refreshed and ready to start a new day.

For my younger children, I like to use TLC and/or Lavender at night, and for the older ones, I use Lavender and Quiescent. Quiescent calms the chatter in your brain, TLC soothes and relaxes your body, and Lavender is a wonderful calmer in general, but more specifically can be used for insomnia, nervous exhaustion, restlessness and headaches.

Try using your Lavender and Quiescent tonight and knock yourself out!

Do you just know that your body needs something more, something different, something healthier, but you’re just not sure what exactly that something is? Well, guess what, I’ve got a simple solution for that delima and am so excited to start sharing it! I’ve just acquired a new tool called the ZYTO Compass Hand Cradle. This nifty little gadget, which is hooked up to my computer, scans your body and then communicates the information back to the computer. The computer assesses this information and determines which Forever Green products your body is wanting. It’s as simple as holding your hand on the cradle for 5 minute and that’s that! So fun and so easy! Keep an eye out for the events I’ll be at. I’ll be doing free scans at events throughout the month of Nov., starting on the 1st in Spanish Fork.

I just have to tell you how much I absolutely love doing what I do. I taught an in-home class tonight and had a wonderful time! It’s crazy how much I enjoy sharing these oils with people and answering questions; talking about health in general and learning from everyone who is there.

Our theme for the night ended up being that healthy living is all about taking one step at a time, one day at a time, and doing what is best for you.

Even though we sometimes think it should be immediate, most of us don’t just wake up one morning and decide to be healthy and start doing the 50 things we think we need to do in order to qualify us as being a healthy person.

You just choose one thing to change and work on that one thing and as that one thing becomes a part of your life, then choose one more thing to work on. Gradually, line upon line, you transform your life into what you want it to be. Change can be simple if you just take it one step at a time.

We talked a lot tonight about how diet plays a role in your health. And you know, as wonderful and powerful these essential oils are, if you’re not properly nourishing your body, the oils can only do so much. Health is a habit. There is no magical lotion, potion, or pill that is going to heal your life. It’s all up to you to choose what you are going to put into your body and what you are going to do on a daily basis.

Decide right now to start doing one thing different that will improve your health. It can be as simple as making sure to drink enough water everyday, or getting more sleep, or adding more veggies to your diet. Seemingly small changes like this make a huge difference when repeated over time.

As you make small changings in your daily actions, slowly over time, that’s when the magic happens. With ease, your life will be transforming into what you want it to be.

Tonight was the Women’s Health Pampering Party and I loved it! It was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more except maybe more time to visit with everyone who came. The hour went by so fast.

We did foot soaks with Forever Young Essential Oil Bath Salts: so relaxing, and so easy to do.

For an easy de-stress treatment at home, try this: Get a plastic dish pan (I found mine at the dollar store), put some marbles on the bottom of it, add an essential oil bath salt and hot water and you’ve got a therapeutic foot soak. The marbles massage your feet as you move them around and the essential oils nourish, detoxify and relax your body simultaniously.

You can make your own soothing bath salts by adding a few of drops of essential oils to ½ cups sea salt and 2 TBS baking soda, ½ cup Epsom salt, or ½ cup Forever Young Bath Salt. Choose just one oil or do a combination that suits your needs. You can also add essential oils to your bubble bath as well.

Here are some suggestions on what oils to use, but the options are limitless.

Wonderful for skin/cellulite: Fennel, Orange, and Lavender

Relaxing/calming : Lavender, Chamomile, Geranium, Quiescent, TLC, or Sandalwood

Achy Feet: Lavender, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, or Cairo Care

Achy Body: Birch, Peppermint, TLC, Fysical Thera P, Marjoram

Cleansing Toxins/ Lymph System: Bay Laurel

Try a soothing foot soak tonight. And for an added dose of relaxation, apply Lavender or Quiescent on your feet after they’re done soaking while the pores are still wide open. Your body will soak up that oil in no time and you’ll be sleeping like a baby!

Why do I love Forever Young Essential Oils so much. Is it their purity? Their power? Their amazing health benefits? Yes! Yes! Yes!

However, what has been on my mind concerning essential oils lately, is how each individual oil can do so many wonderful things!

Take for example Orange Oil. I love this oil just for its beautiful, refreshing aroma alone, but it can do so many things. First and foremost, Orange Oil creates a happy feeling inside you. Go ahead a try to take a long deep breath while smelling Forever Young Orange Oil and see if you can’t help but smile. It’s crazy, but every time I smell it, a smile appears on my face.

So what else does Orange Oil do besides make me feel silly? It is wonderful for the health of your skin. Orange can clear out toxins and decongests the skin. It hydrates and regenerates your cells, helps with the formation of collagen, can dissolve cellulite and is great for stretch marks. You can use it for eczema and dermatitis too, and it’s useful for healing a sunburn and good to use as an after-sun wrinkle treatment.

Orange Oil is also a great immune booster and blood purifier. It is used in Chinese medicine to treat coughs and colds. It has also been use for anorexia, fatigue, PMS and stress.

Orange Oil is very helpful for digestive issues. It aids the liver and increases the flow of bile and assimilation of fats. It is also anti-parasitic and is useful in treating both diarrhea and constipation.

As you can see, this one oil can be used in multiple ways. If one oil can do all this, think of the possibilities you have with four or five different oils. With the right information, you can have a complete natural pharmacy in your home with just a few bottles of Forever Young Essential Oils, to use for almost any and all ailments you come across.

If you already have an array of oils and aren’t sure what to do with them, just ask.  You can always download the Suggested Uses Chart on my Essential Oils page or just send me an email with your specific concern.  A great place to post questions is on the Everyday Healthy ForumCheck it out.  My friend Chris Tuttle created it as a resource for all who are interested to ask questions and obtain information.

This past weekend my friend Marie emailed me asking what oil to use for shingles. I promplty replied with the answer: Geranium. As luck would have it, I had a new bottle on hand just for her. She’s been using it on her son and quite pleased and somewhat amazed at how wonderfully it is working. If you’d like to read her blog about it, click here.

A wonderful bonus that comes with using the Geranium on the shingles is that it has an emotionally calming and uplifting effect. So, while you are healing the ailing body, you are simultaneously healing the spirit as well.

That’s one of the beautiful things about Forever Young Essential Oils. They encourage healing at multiple levels; body, mind and spirit.
