What Oils Could You Use for Relief?
Posted In: Essential Oils by skatoaA few weeks ago a friend, Lee, called me with severe pain in both of her shoulders called tendinotis in the deltoid muscle and rotator cuff. Lee has had “impingement release” surgery. This is where the surgeon carves the bone away from the muscle. About 12 years ago she had surgery on both shoulders and the pain was back in spades. The Dr. told her she needed another surgery. She could not sleep at night except to sit up in the lazy boy type chair with ice packs on both shoulders. Every 2-3 hours when they became warm she would get up and replace them.
We talked about the stabbing pain and I told her of many oils and their benefits. Lee decided on lemon and peppermint for liver cleanse and FrequenSea for her general health. Specifically for her shoulder she used Marjoram, Lemongrass and Birch layered in this order with Message oil. The first night she applied the oils she was able to sleep IN BED, LAYING DOWN for 4 hours. She woke to some pain, reapplied the oils and slept again until her alarm went off. She had not slept that much in one night for about a year! Now about 5 weeks later she is still sleeping soundly without pain.
Lee also has a cyst from her osteo-arthritis on her finger. She has had it drained several times but it keeps returning. It gets filled with the “puss” and bright red, throbbing with pain. I asked her to rub the oils from her shoulder on her hands and see what would happen. Lee has done this and her cyst no longer is sore. It does still get “full” and she has to release it but not as often and not nearly the pain she has had.
She has also purchased Oregano (used in a gel capsule filled with Message Oil) for her psoriasis and eczema which is getting much better in just 4 weeks!
Thank you,
