I have been living in Utah’s dry climate for 10 years now and this is the first winter here that the skin on my hands, particularly my knuckles, isn’t dried, cracked, and painful. I realized this morning as I was washing my hands that my skin is looking much smoother then it normally does during the winter, and is soft to the touch. The craziest part is that this is the first winter that I haven’t used lotion! As a matter of fact, I’m not sure if there is even any lotion in our house.

Instead of synthetic lotions and potions full of chemicals and perfumes, I’ve been using mainly two things to keep my skin soft and moist. In place of lotion for my arms, hands, feet, legs, etc., I use Message Oil with a few drops of an essential oil, such as Geranium, Lavender, TLC, etc. I put about a tsp of Message Oil in my hand, add the essential oil of choice, and just rub it on. Not only is this a completely natural alternative to lotion, it is nourishing my skin and at the same time, literally nourishing my body.

For my face and neck, I have been using a Forever Green product called Quench. Quench is a gentle and completely natural body/face moisturizer. It is light and refreshing. It moisturizes my face and leaves my skin feeling soft, fresh and vibrant. Just Friday a friend commented to me that she noticed the skin on my face was looking softer and smoother. I’ve only been using Quench for about a month now, but am already seeing positive results that other people are noticing as well !

Quench is and ideal facial skin softener, can be used on children and babies, is great to use for minor skin irritations, can soothe insect bites and burns, and actually is an insect repellent itself. Because Quench is made of 100% active, clean, organic ingredients, you can freely add any essential oil of choice to it to enhance it’s nourishing effects on your skin even more.

The ingredients in Quench are: 100% pure virgin olive oil, grape seed oil, almond oil, colloidal silver, aloe vera gel/juice, Pure Essential oils of: lemon, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, spearmint, ylang ylang, tea tree, geranium, lavender, and soy lecithin (used as an emulsifier).

I absolutely love Quench and am thrilled with the results I have had with it thus far. I started using it simply as an alternative to the synthetic moisturizers I had been using. I have been pleasantly surprised at all the benefits my skin has received because I have chosen to nourish it with the gifts of Mother Nature. Try Quench yourself and watch your face begin to soften and glow.
