Headaches are a common ailment that many people deal with on a weekly or even daily basis. Here is an excerpt from on of my class handouts that covers some of the basics of dealing with headaches using essential oils. If you experience frequent headaches, make sure you are drinking 64-128 oz of water per day. May times headaches occur simply because of dehydration.
General Headache: Apply 3 drops Lavender and 1 drop Peppermint to temples at the back of your neck near the hair line.
Migraine: As soon as you feel the migraine coming on, take a bottle of Peppermint oil, put it under your nose and breathe in several deep breaths for 2-3 minutes.
Take 2 drops of Marjoram and 2 drops of Lavender and message it on the web of your hands between your pointer finger and your thumb.
Mix equal portions of Peppermint, Lavender, and Marjoram. Apply to temples, top of forehead and back of neck, cup hands over mouth and nose and breathe in the oil mixture.
Stress Migraines: 1 drop Quiescent or Lavender massaged into the toes or head area of the ears.
