Lovin’ these Oils!

Posted In: Essential Oils by skatoa

I checked my e-mail this morning and was pleasantly surprised with a message from a super-sweet person I met and shared Forever Young Essential Oils with last week.  Responses like this are why I do what I do. – Here is an excerpt from the e-mail:

“I want you to know that I have absolutely fallen in love with putting fennel (mixed with coconut) on after showering.  I think the most dramatic difference is on my face.  It literally has a glow and a clear whiteness to it  after I use it.  I have also fallen in love with geranium– I love the smell!  I put it on as perfume during the day and on my pillow at night– it’s so yummy and mellowing.  And after using Spice of Life for a few days, I almost have my singing voice back (which, being a singing teacher, is HUGE!).”
Thank you M.F. from Provo for sharing you new-found love of Forever Young Essential Oils.

Spice of Life essential oil blend is a must-have this time of year.  As viruses and infections start spreading, Spice of Life can protect you and assist your body in overcoming whatever it may encounter.

I woke up Friday morning with a hint of a soar throat.    After an hour, it was still hanging around and I could tell it would only get worse if I didn’t do anything about it.  So out came the Spice of Life.  Just one small drop under the tongue did the trick.  Spicey, oh yea- but totally worht it.  The soar throat was gone within the hour.

Stress, Stress, Stress. If you’re like most people, some days, no matter what, you just can’t shake the stress. It’s there when you wake up, there while you’re driving, and still with you as you lay in bed at night. So what to do? relaxingwoman2 Relaxation -Sweet, Beautiful RelaxationOne option is to get some good soothing Essential Oils such as Lavender, Chamomile, or Geranium. And then there’s my favorite calming oil, Quiescent. All these can help you relax and sleep easier, but what if putting oils on yourself at home just doesn’t seem to do the trick. Yea, you can tell the difference, but you are still wanting deeper relaxation.

OK girls, this post is for you. If PMS brings you down every month – the bloating, the cramping, the irritability, the “I just don’t feel good” – consider those days of misery as in the past. Mood Magic for Women is in my opinion very magical when dealing with PMS symptoms. I just love avoiding the cramps and bloating! It makes life so much easier!

Back Pain Be Gone!

Forever Young carries an oil blend called Cairo Care.  I love using this oil!  It is a blend of Essential Oils that have been specifically combined to follow the holistic principle that the body is in perfect balance when in proper alignment.  Cairo Care helps to deeply relax and release tension.  It actually helps to relax the myofascia that holds the muscles to the spine and other joints.  This allows the entire body to straighten and realign.  The essential oils in this blend are also calming, uplifting, and helpful in achieving a sense of balance.

I went to a raw foods class this evening at the new Sunflower Farmer’s Market here in Orem on University Parkway. Anyways, my sweet friend Becky Johnson was teaching it and so, of course I went. She is such a knowledgeable and sweet person. It was a great class and I walked away with a delicious new recipe and lots of new insights. Thank you Becky!

Got Saggy Skin?

Posted In: Essential Oils by skatoa

I attended a wonderful Essential Oils training class tonight given by Lorene Cron, all about skincare with Essential Oils. I learned tons of great stuff and am now planning to teach about Essential Oils and skincare during my next series of classes.

One of the oils mentioned tonight was Fennel. I love Fennel! You know what one of its uses is? You got it, smoothing out and perking up saggy, wrinkled mature skin. Fennel Essential Oil actually contains a constituent similar to estrogen, so it helps to sustain muscle tone and the elasticity of your skin.

When it was time to cut and paste in kindergarten, my teacher Mrs. Knapp would always remind us, “Just a little dab’ll do ya.” And so, I am here to remind you that when using Essential Oils, the same advice applies.

A friend of mine called today concerned with how she was feeling. Last week she started the Liver Cleanse and was now feeling overwhelmed and really yucky. Come to find out, she was using 4-5 drops of oil at a time instead of one drop at a time. That’ll do it.

My sweet 7 year old son reminded me today about his wart.  Well, it used to be a wart, now there’s just a spot on his foot where the wart once was.  You see, a few weeks ago he complained about a wart on the bottom of his foot hurting as he was putting his shoes on for school.  I, being the “Super Mom” that I am, grabbed my travel kit of essential oils and went to work.  A drop of Lemongrass, one of Helichrysum, and one of Tea Tree.  I then put a band aid on it and sent him off to school.

I spent nine hours at the expo today, met tons of beautiful people, and shared information about lots of different essential oils. The oil most requested essential oil overall today was…. Peppermint! Who’d of thought?

So, what is Peppermint oil good for? The most popular use for it is to soothe headaches. That’s right, just rub a drop on your temples, and you’re good to go!

There are many other uses for it as well. I’ll list a few here just to give you an idea of what to do with your Peppermint.
